I chose Alex Mayes's photo because of the feel of the motion as shown by the bluring of the ballast, and the swirl of the steam. Liked the others, but this one had a little punch to it.
I like Robert Jordan's entry because it shows work involving couplers rather than just the physical couplers.
By the way, is the guy on top about to dump a bunch of snow on the guy on the ground?

I went with Derek Carter's photo. It's a non-standard coupler that is fairly common on MU cars in suburban service.
