There were apparently two Union Manufacturing Companies in CT - one made tools in the late 1800, the other made insulated bottles in the 1960's.  

One reference says that UMC was located in Meriden.

Found another that said that Union Manufacturing (the insulated bottle interation) was "long gone" from Meriden.

I find nothing to indicate that Union Manufacturing was ever associated with Stanley.

Union Manufacturing of New Britain, CT  could also be a another name for Stanley Tools.

As you well know you can't be run a train for 12 hours unless you have a Yuge! Thermos. Stanley Bomb Thermos come to mind but hey I got this baby for 3 dollers,Unfortatly I now need a handle and a cup but the company is out of buisness. I also need to know exactly in New Britain were they located.
