I heard this was at a tourist RR in Michigan. When I was there last week, I couldn't find anything. Anyone familiar with the whereabouts of this old engine? (It's lookalike #463 is at the C&TS in Colorado, I understand). I would like to see and hear one run; it has a single tone whistle, I have heard.
It's at the Huckleberry Railroad in Flint. According to their website, their other locomotive (#152, a 4-6-0) is undergoing renovations. That would put 464 as their only operating loco right now.
I rode behind 464 there several years ago.

Thanks for the update. I will make a point of getting there and riding it on my next trip. I have a thing about these old engines, hearing so many stories about them from my youth in the Southwest. I wish I had paid more attention then.

I hope you've included (or will include) the Henry Ford (museum, especially Greenfield Village) in your travel plans in Michigan. It's worth a whole day. And they are running live steam there, too.
While you are in the Flint area, just west in Owosso, is the Steam Railroading Institute, home of PM #1225 of Polar Express fame.

Between there and Flint is Michigan's popular train watching site, Durand station/museum (CN, ATK, GLC, HE)
