Train Dispatching Programs
Posted by Trainboy0821 on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 6:53 PM

I have done a lot of research, and I cannot seem to find any programs that has you be a dispatcher. I know that there is a program called Rail Dispatch 3/3.5. I have tried to download those programs, and it dosen't work (upon further research, I found out that these programs are annulled). Is there any other programs out there other than the previously stated ones, or are there no programs currently out there?

A little additional research might have gotten you to

http://tomlevine.wixsite.com/train-dispatcher

where they note in particular:

We stopped selling Train Dispatcher, Track Builder and track territories on April 30, 2012.  However, since we continue to receive many requests to purchase Train Dispatcher 3.5 and Track Builder 3.1, we have decided to sell un-supported versions on ebay.com.  Go to ebay and search on Train Dispatcher, Track Builder or click on one of the buttons below [on the Web page] to purchase.

I have not actually looked on eBay to see whether any copies are actually for sale now, but if not, correspondence to one of the addresses and links at the bottom of the page may produce results for you.  (At the very least they can put up a 'buy-it-now' link for you on request.)

Although I'm not usually a fan of pirating software, it does occur to me that someone with a valid serial number might 'loan' it to you to download the previously-for-purchase additional territories that are now only available (via download) for prior customers, or download and unzip the files for you on request.

I think the 'free' version of Train Dispatcher 2 will still download from the link near the bottom of this page.  I am on a Mac but when I tried it, I successfully completed download of a file of the appropriate type (Microsoft Windows .exe application) and size (1,819,748 bytes).  This program, as noted, was derived from commercial training software and I would be interested to have some of our 'dispatchers' comment on how it might be best configured and used.
