I lived in Valdosta up until 1994. I wasn't able to find out much. I do know that it was called the "Lakeland Spur" and it branched off of the ACL (now CSX) at Naylor Ga. I think they had one or two switch engines. I think it was finally abandoned sometime in the seventies. It was gone completely without a trace when I got there in 1982.

Does anyone have information on the long defunct Georgia short line Lakeland Railway of Lakeland Georgia? Such as what businesses were served by the line.
