Long time poster loses marbles wading through about a dozen Newswire threads pinned at the top of the page. Film at 11:00. Whistling

Near the top of the list of topics are a string of 4 boxes that have lables of:

"Most Recent", "Not Answered", "Unread Topics" and "My Topics"

Click on the "Unread Topics" box, then look through the list of topics that YOU have not read yet.  When you have read the ones you want, click on the black button with white text of: "Mark all as Read" (above the 4 boxes), and the list will reduce to none!

Then when a topic is added or a reply is added to a topic, the list will repopulate with the new items.  You will have to periodically refresh the page to see when these additions are made.

Read the ones you want and then click that black button again to mark the rest as "read".

This way you will only see the topics that you have not read (or have not marked as read), and the "stickies" won't show up unless someone replies to one or a new one is posted.

Problem solved.

Thanks. I'm going to try that and see if I can recoup my marbles.

The only purpose for marbles is to throw them on the floor so you can dazzle folk with your fancy footwork!

Or in Kent Dorfman's case, to disrupt the charge of ROTC cadets trying to interdict the onslaught of the DTO's on the Faber College homecoming parade.

And a marble by any other names is still a marble.

If you subscribe to a forum or to an individual thread, new postings will come to your email. You can unsubscribe to indivudual threads. This saves a lot of time searching for something that interests you.

Murphy S.   There was at time around here when your 'lost marbles' seemed to be a given.....Lately, though that same question seems to becoming a more rational question.... Either that, or you have gotten a splinter in a sensitive spot, from a sticky wicket out in the lumber pile?? Whistling
