Looking at Main St. using Google Earth's, Street View, I see angle parking on the north side that seems to be numbered as though it is private paid parking.  The south side is marked for parallel parking and I cannot see any numbers on the street nor do I see any signage anywhere indicating restrictions, other than a couple of Handicapped parking spots.  There are no parking meters that I see.

On the north side there is enough room for the angled parking and one lane of traffic (west bound)... the south side, well, you'd better not be trying to go east next to parked cars if a train is coming!!! Surprise  (Unless you are on a bicycle or such.)

La Grange, Kentucky questions
Posted by chatanuga on Monday, June 26, 2017 7:37 PM

I'm planning a trip down to La Grange, Kentucky in the near future to see the street running there and have some questions for anybody that has been there.

1.  Is there any parking restrictions along Main Street?  In other words, can I park my vehicle along the street for the entire time I'm there without any time limits?

2.  Are there any restrooms nearby or in the stores along the street that are available?

3.  Any particular time of the day busier than others?

4.  About how much warning do railfans have before trains come through?
