Favorite Holiday Train Memory
Posted by bbrant on Thursday, December 16, 2004 5:52 AM
With Christmas just over a week away, I thought I'd post and ask about favorite holiday train memory. I have several, and they're all good memories, but probably the best one for me was when I received a Tyco Chattanooga Choo-Choo train set for Christmas.

What made it special was the whisle accessory that came with it (cleverly disguised as a Pay Day candy bar billboard). I was pressing the button to blow the whistle every chance I got - or at least as much as my parents could tolorate!

Anyone else have a favorite train memory from Chirstmas time they wi***o share?

Circa-1971. Riding the New York City subway with my mom on the elevated portion in the evening. Looking out the train windows and seeing many apartment buildings with Christmas lights in the windows while it was snowing. Made me smile!

I was 3 or 4, when my sister and I were given some 'hand-me-down' Gilbert
American Flyer stuff. Then ,the Christmas after I turned 6,I got an Athearn
'Hustler' set, with WP boxcar, flatcar, and Santa Fe caboose. For Christmas
1958,I was given a Lionel FA unit,and work caboose(HO) which I still
happen to have in my possesions.[:)]
