1.  1st no one hurt 6 kindergarten and bus driver

2.  RR either NS or GSW

3.  Downtown Columbus, Ga

5.  Accident occurred at the intersection of 2 streets.  Crossing only marked with cross bucks and tracks  (1+) pass through at about a 30 degree angle to North south road.

6. school bus stopped for train last 2 cars were private hoppers.

7.  After train passed school bus started across track but train backed into left front of bus.

No information yet on what crew was doing but if this was the location that I recall there were some switches further to right.  All  in all an unfortunate accident and Columbus has many such intersections and stree running.

EDIT follow up This tv station used two different sites to do the reportig.  Accident appears to have happened on single track location but ? ? ?

If the rail cars were being shoved over the road crossing - where was the employee that was supposed to be protecting the leading end of the shove to prevent this situation?

My first thought as well.
