If it is ok with the new SJW, another UP theme thread, not sure if it is politicaly correct, pretty sure it is filled with trigger words, and it requires some input from the reader, so it is sure to contain micro agressions.

Well, there's this as well:

It's been 38 years since I visited (the historic one, not the web one) and still a memorable event.
Gotta start getting out more again.
I played around for a while and found the site to be rather interesting, with nothing of what you warn against. I'm not sure as to what you are referring when you mention 'political correctness' and 'trigger words'.

Was there anything about Roy and Dale in there? That would have Trigger words, I bet.

Trigger was like Mr. Ed??? How'd I miss that?
Personally, I'd worry much more about Chip and Dale with respect to politically correct language. Excessive politeness inviting 'ladies' to go first has already reputedly gotten people in trouble. Perhaps ironically, I can't post an example here because Disney has DMCA-taken-down all the relevant YouTube clips.
Don't you know why a "gentleman" always lets a "lady" go first???
So he can ogle her as she walks past!

Back 'in the day' [50+ years, ago] at least Roy and Dale were able to enjoy the fact that TRIGGER, was at least, MUTE. And then, old episodes of 'Mr. Ed' played in today's environment of Political Correctness. would most likely, trigger protests of inuendo, sexism, and suggestions of the relationship between Wilbur Post, and Mr. Ed. With the efete liberal crowd of these days; not to mention protests of feigned affront to their tender feelings. The again, how would the episodes of 'Mr.& Mrs. North' play out in the same envirionment? The P.C.er's would probably be in front of every microphone, and camer they could find; launching tirades of protest against current sensibilities. It would be another media circus. AND, 'Chip'n'Dale' ! Imagine, how their crazy interplay with their nemesises, Bugs Bunny, and Donald Duck would play out? In certain political 'circles', they would be working themselves into a moral swivet....
Sam,
I was around back in those days. "Silver" never let out anything but a whinnie. Tonto never complained about playing "second fiddle". And the beat went on. Not saying those days were the best but we didn't have to worry about the "snowflakes" getting their feeling hurt or needing their "safe spaces". Roy, Dale, and The Lone Ranger were the heroes of the day.
Time for the snowflakes to grow a pair and get in touch with reality.

Ed, I think I understand how you felt after all the attacks on your other thread, but I think the fact that you used the words "politically correct" woke up the politically correct and anti politically correct fanatics and triggered an attack on this one that wouldn't have otherwise happened. I'm reminded of Dave Gardener's "fanatic in search of a cause."

Gosh - I hope no one yells at me, but the politically incorrect part of this picture of Roy and Dale - you don't wear your good cowgirl hat with your mink stole....
I noticed that Mookie.
Irony at it's best. LOL.

Have to give one of Cincinnati's favorite sons a pass. (Then again, cowboy boots and hats weren't common there anyhow.)
What's the Lone Ranger doing riding the Illinois Central? Or is he on an MP-IC New Orleans-Houston train?
Johnny
That's the New York Central!
DeggestyWhat's the Lone Ranger doing riding the Illinois Central?
When did the NYC run interline cars over the Illinois Central?
Or when did "Illinois" end with the letter K, and the IC use such a familiar NYC paint scheme?
RMEWhen did the NYC run interline cars over the Illinois Central?
Oh come on! We all know that one.
NYC trains between Chicago and Indianapolis/Cincinnati ran on the IC north of Kankakee. These trains used the IC station in downtown Chicago.
The subject photo depicts the only true failure of the Lone Ranger and Tonto. They heard there was trouble in Chicago and came in on a train to set things straight. Alas, they were no match for the Insane Coho Lips street gang and had to escape town in an empty cattle car.
Everybody knows that!
No, that's not it. The Ranger and Tonto were run out of town by the local power structure for failing to "Mirandize" the bad guys they rounded up!
The Lone Ranger and Tonto could handle anything, remember the old Texas saying:
"One riot, one Ranger!"
