Mischief Been too quiet here lately - so:

From the Feb. 28 News Wire:

Electrifying the Northern Transcon?

Environmentalist author says electrified freight railroads help the earth

 http://trn.trains.com/news/news-wire/2017/02/28-electrifying-the-northern-transcon

Link to webpage & about book, etc.: http://www.solutionaryrail.org./

http://www.solutionaryrail.org./buybook - looks like $19.95

Important note: I express no opinion about the merits of the proposal or the book - that's for you to do.  Other than to note - as some of the comments to the News Wire post did - that there are other places where it might make more operating and/ or economic sense, such as the BNSF Southern Transcon (more & faster traffic), etc.

Also, this thread has nothing to do with the concurrent electric/ battery locomotive (NS 999), etc. thread.
