Rochelle

Is it my imagination, or am I am going deaf?  It seems to me that since the first of the month I have not heard a train horn alerting me to the approach of a train on the Rochelle web cam. All of a sudden I hear a train at the crossing and am hard pressed to switch back to the video in time to see what was coming.

If you would take a read of the recent (last few days, anyway) posts to the forum thread about the Rochelle webcam, you would see comments about the city becoming a "Quiet Zone".

Thanks!  have not been on forum in several years so I did not see comments.  Am sure residents are very happy as I would not have been very happy with constant hornblowing. Have not been out  to Rochelle in several months and saw no indication of railroads upgrading crossings to silent running when I was last out there. At that time they were busy installing new signals which are now operational.
