"By many measures, the U.S. freight rail system is the safest, most efficient and cost effective in the world." - Federal Railroad Administration, October, 2009. I'm just your average, everyday, uncivilized howling "anti-government" critic of mass government expenditures for "High Speed Rail" in the US. And I'm gosh darn proud of that.

Forget it.  It was a joke.  It wasn't that funny.

Someone had photo shopped a picture of a locomotive made to look like a auto that had been stripped.  It is up on blocks with the trucks removed.  It's a BNSF locomotive with the title "Train left overnight in Chicago."

My title suggested that the BNSF made a mistake by leaving it sit in Chicago overnight.

My bad.  I apologize.

Our time has value, y'know. This had absolutely nothing to do with trains, other than lame humor.

The Erie-Lackawanna Chicago story in the Autumn Classic Trains says what you wanted your picture to say and says it loud and clear.

But let us face it, that is a very small part of the Chicago population and neighborhoods.  I wonder what the railroad, probably CSX, does agout the problem today.

It Would have been more convincing if they'd left the eyes off it...

It is obvious from the above link that the picture is stored on someone's private email account, which is not a publicly available link. Therefore, it is time for a ....

PIcture posting tip:

- Upload your digital picture(s) to a photo hosting service such as PhotoBucket. I won't mention a few of the larger services as they are >3X as annoying as PB. Google Docs also can be used, but the links are ridiculously ginormous. Some of us don't use Facebook, and navigation for non-users is infuriating.

- Provide the direct link from the above service in your forum post.
