How often do you see 5 Dash 9's on a train?
BNSF can definitely put together some 'different' power arrangements. A man in the KC area caught a string of 6 ET44C4 (tier4) New Power heading west ot of KC. Just yesterday A BNSF Westbound grain train (STLX- UMLER) passed by with 4 NS units on the point (#8406-9370-2597- 2708) [Leader was a PTC equipped, ex CR6702, Dash 8, second was a Dash 9,( upded to 4400hp), and 2 SD70m's]. Rare to see leaders on trains around here be anything but BNSF.
While watching the Chesterton rail cam I've seen as many as eight locomotives on one train. It's likely only three were pulling and the rest were being moved DIT to where power was needed.

Yes, BNSF does come up with some strange power arrangements. While visiting San Diego for the first time in 20 years what is the first thing I see, a BNSF autorack with with 5 GE DC units. Not some Dash 9's and ES44DC's but all all ES44DC's (7768, 7726, 7708, 7778 and 7769). They dropped off their load and headed back north to pick a new load.
I was in KC this week and saw that Murray Yard was full of C44-9Ws with their stacks wrapped.
