Prince Rupert is certainly an interesting place. I was there two years ago, come October, as I wanted to ride the Prince Rupert-Port Hardy ferry, roundtrip. Among attractions in town is a museum which has quite about the people who lived in the area many, many, years ago.
I, of course, traveled in civilized comfort, from Jasper and back to Jasper (a night in Prince George each way). My ticket had one coupon for each way, and the conductor did not ask to see it the second day. The scenery along the way is excellent--even offering a herd of bison in one place.

You and me both, Miningman. Lots of opportunities to be had there and the cost of living is still relatively low.
Go NorthWest young man, ...go NorthWest! If I was a twenty something I would get my skinny arse up there so fast ...it is beautiful country with the face of the future ...the moderation of the Pacific Ocean keeps winter at bay.
