If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

Go to this website ..

https://postimage.org/

It will allow you to upload a image and get a URL for it and then use that URL in the forum.

The Trains forum cannot take a direct upload of an image - the image must be hosted on another site and linked to.  Among other considerations, this reduces the amount of storage space the fora require on the servers.

This might be a personal website, or one of the popular photo sites.  Those sites will provide you with a URL for your image.

Once you have a URL for the image, you can use the "insert image" button or the "img" tags, if you're into writing forum code (similar to HTML, but slightly different).

Help on adding a photo to a post.
Posted by Electroliner 1935 on Friday, July 22, 2016 9:54 PM

I wanted to add a photo to a subject I was going to post on the forum but I could not determie the steps I needed to follow to insert it in the body of my post. The JPEG is on my hard drive and I tried to copy (cntC) and paste (cntV) it and it would not take, I tried the INSERT (insert image) and could not figure out what the source should be. Tried the file address and that would not get accepted. So I am asking for some assistance. Thanks.
