Looking at Google earth it seems to show an open and active interlocking tower
at the crossing in Crawfordsville. Does anyone know if this tower is actually open
and if so, which railroad operates it? I would like to try to get permission to visit
if it is still open.
Thanks to any and all who reply.

What state?
An "expensive model collector"
If it's Crawfordsville, IN, I'm not seeing a tower, unless I'm mis-judging what looks like a large equipment shelter in the SE quadrant of the diamond.
The topo on Acme Mapper shows Conrail (nee PC/NYC) and Louisville & Nashville (nee Monon), with a third unnamed north-south line (possibly C&EI) also involved in the interlocking at one time.

Sorry I omitted the state, it is Indiana. The Google image is poor at best, taken
from a grade crossing some distance away.
Thanks again to all who responded.
There is not an active tower in Crawfordsvile IN. It is all under the control of both the CSX RB and IC dispatcher.
That's the equipment shed for CP Ames at the tower site. The tower came down in two stages - the second floor got knocked off in a 1950 Monon derailment, and Conrail took down the rest in 1983.
Primary function today are movements between the dark P&E and the signaled Monon.
CSX is piecing together a Chicago-SE route with the Elsdon sub and L&I deals. Is it cleared for stacks, and are they adding trains?
There is still a bit of the PRR line that runs north to serve an industrial park.
