At least we know (from the test and the little CGI clip) that the concept is just LIM powered vehicles, and not some more exotic method of propulsion as discussed extensively a couple of years ago. I suppose for people too young to remember the '60s a test of a LIM is exciting new technology. I guess the next step is to put together those sections of tubular 'guideway' and run the mule through that to see what develops. I remain relatively unconvinced that the tube part of it is really that necessary...

I had the same reaction when I saw the clip. What is new here?
One thing for sure about Elon Musk. He doesn't think small. - SpaceX, Tesla, Hyperloop and more.
