I just heard on the radio that the bat Babe Ruth used to hit the first home run in Yankee Stadium history was sold for $1.26 million at Sotheby's[:0].If paying that much$$$ for a hobby item isn't foaming,I'd like to know what is!

That kind of money could buy a private car in good operating condition. Try sleeping in a baseball bat.

See Gabe's topic on the Microsoft dividend. Price of Babe Ruth baseball bats just went up.

Oh man!

That kind of money can restore at least two E-Units to good running condition including the paint job! Or better yet after restoring the bodies, swap out the 567 diesels, and install a single rebuilt 2,000 horsepower 645 series diesel in each locomotive!

We sure can dream!..........................[:D][4:-)][C=:-)]

Might be possible here in Louisville,at The "Louisville Slugger Museum"
There's a Nine story Baseball Bat Attached to the museum!
And it's made out of steel, not wood or aluminum![:D]

Joe,got a few Cincy Baseball Cards;nothing spectacular,not a real
hobby. I agree with "Chessie" items, but lets go for old C & O items also![:D]

On e-Bay!! Amtrak #389 up for auction. Buy it now for $79,000, seller will fix every thing that needs to be done to put in operation for another $75k

Look for item 4509075277.

No indication if baseball bats will be accepted in trade.

(Disclaimer-this is just for info and a chuckle. I do not know the seller and have no interest in the property and will not derive anything from any sale of the property.)

Well, whatever floats your boat.

I start drooling over ford trucks like i do trains. Take the other week for example. First time I went home since August, and a new addition is parked in the garage. Check out the link to the 84 bronco to see what i just had to have.
