[;)] Good to go back to those older issues.....

Walt, Paula and I have been yarning recently about how good it is to go through older issues of Trains mag (Whilst sorting them out at the same time....heh heh). [:)][:p] Since joining the Forum I have learned a lot from a lot of different Forum Folk. A huge thank you to everyone.
Recently I spent a quiet hour just going through older issues of Trains Mag, Classic Trains and MR. It was good to read through them again from a new perspective, based on what others have shared here on the Forum.

It certainly is a good idea to sometimes browse through older issues...[:p][:)]

Has anyone else found themselves doing this? [:)]

I often have to pull out old issues to answer questions on the forum (but only because I can remember seeing the answers on previous readings) - things like Superliner car questions!

Yeah...I recall bits & pieces of info over the 30+ years of reading the magazine but of course can't recall all those details. Trains mag does provide a wealth of information...

I've got lots of old issues of different train magazines and love going through them. I once bought a huge lot of them in bulk and so there are a few that I haven't even read yet. Many times I'll find myself looking for a specific issue and two hours later I still haven't got it yet because I've been reading through other issues that I've come across in the process!

...Yes, that is the hazzard of looking through old issues to find a certain item of info....That is, reading again items or articles one has forgotten all about and end up spending several hours more than one had planned to do.....

I like to go through the old MR issues sometimes. Unfortunately I went through a phase where I thought I would never care about that stuff again (which seemed to coincide with discovering women and electric guitar), so I threw a lot of that stuff out. I still have some though, and it's fun to go back and look at tuff. I think it's more nostalgic than anything. But it can be a bummer seeing how much cheaper stuff was.
