Does UNION PACIFIC Own Any SD75I's?

Does anyone know if UP owned any SD75I's? I know they owned a large batch of SD70M's, but so far I can not locate any SD75I's to model?

I painted one in NS and gave it number 2600.I will like to do one in UP but can't paint that hard scheme.I woant to buy all the SD75I'S SD70I'S AND SD70M'S I can get my hands on.And dont care who had them.They look good in any scheme.

Only BNSF,CN, and Ontario Northland own SD75Is.UP is leasing a huge fleet of SD70Ms,and also inherited some of that model from SP.

NO, UP is not leasing all those SD70M's. Those are a part of a 1000 unit order. I have also heard rumors that they are thinking about another 750 more of them. They obtained only 25 of the 70M's through the SP merger. These are numbered below the 4000 series. These start at number 3976-3999. Just the other day, I was in Herington KS, and saw the UP 3999. It was still in SP gray and red. But it had the UP shield on the nose and the numbers was just painted on there on cab. So UP is not leasing all those 70M's. Just thought I would correct you on that.

I'm no expert but I can read and what I have read is the indeed UP is leasing all those SD70M's. I read it is a 5 year lease with the usual options of renewal. Please correct me if what I have read is incorrect.

Yes, the 1000 SD70Ms are leased units, as stated on the post above mine.
As for additional units, we have confirmation of another 100, but nothing any more about 750, or 700, or any higher figure previously rumored.

You should read a post more closely before correcting it.
"They also inherited some of that model from SP" means what it says. It clearly implies ownership. I didn't feel like digging out a roster book to get the exact number. Your post seems to imply that some of the current massive,SD70M acquisitions are purchases,but if you check you sources these are all leased with an option to purchase after five years. The 25 ex SPs are the only SD70Ms UP owns and my post did not state otherwise.

Ok, Maybe I didn't understand it enough. But I haven't seen or heard anything about UP leasing these units. I read in a magazine that UP is purchusing them. If they are leasing them, then I am wrong. I appreciate the input and help.

The former SP units are numbered from 3976-3999. I know this because I have seen all of them through McPherson KS. I know that seems a little weird to see them all through here. But it has happened over time. So thanks for the help.
