Hello everyone,
I purchased a copy of the locomotive magazine a couple of days ago. The copy is in digital form. My hope was to be able to download the file in a PDF or similar format and put it on my phone for future reading, ie when I fly on the airplane. Unfortunately I was introduced to Zinio. Does anyone know how this site works and is it possible to download the paid for e-magazine?
Thank you
Frank

Yes. Install the Zinio app and the file will be downloaded there and available for offline reading. All my issues of both MR and Pop Sci as well as my special issues such as GMR and MRP are on my iPad and I can read them at any time. There is also a Zinio PC application to go with the iOS and Android apps. If you have 3 different devices you can load the same content on all 3.

Yes, download the app, then the magazine, and even without wifi, etc... You can read the magazine. I do it all the time.

Hello,
thank you for the replies. Unfortunately, after downloading the App, still no downloading of the magazine. Not sure why it does not work. So will probably purchase the magazine at the LHS and just write this off to experinece.
Will try some more to download it before I give up though.
Again, thank you for the replies.
You need to create an account at Zinio. Then all your purchases will appear in the app. You don't have to tell it to download anything, the issue will appear in your reading list and will download the first time you click on it.
Is this special issue released yet? For example, I just got a notification about Great Model Railroads 2016, but that's just an order confirmation, the issue is not out yet and thus does not show in my Zinio app.
I suggest you call our Customer Service department at 800-533-6644. They're trained to help you on technical issues with Zinio and other digital formats.
Also, since you're talking about a Trains magazine publication, I'm moving this thread to that forum. Happy railroading!
