This is for "Star Trek" fans only, or maybe not, but if you're a Trekkie check out You Tube "Hitler versus Kahn."  Very clever the way the poster put together clips from "Downfall" and "The Wrath of Kahn."  Had me rolling on the floor!

Probably the best of the "Downfall" parodies.

There's also a couple for Hiter downsizes the steel industry.  Substitute steel for railroad, and probably any other industry, and it's spot on.

There's also one about Held Away and some for the modelers among us,  Hitler goes DCC.

The 611 one is easy to find, just search "You Tube Hitler and NS 611" and it should come right up.

I took German in high school, but it's a good thing "Downfall" has subtitles otherwise I wouldn't understand a word they're saying.  OK, SOME of it, but far from all of it.

Interesting, the director of the film and the principal actor Bruno Ganz (Hitler) both speak English, have seen the various parodies, and enjoy them immensely.  As a matter of fact the company that made the film, Constantin Film, wanted You Tube to yank the various parodies but at the insistance of the director Constantin dropped the demand.

I'll have to roll through what you've posted, looks interesting.

Have you seen the "Hitler and Norfolk and Western 611" parody?  That's a good one!

By the way, if you've never seen "Downfall" do so!  It's a great film.  The fact it's a German production with a German speaking cast really gives it an eerie touch of authenticity.  It's like you're in the bunker yourself, and once I start watching it I can't turn it off.

No, I haven't seen the "611" one. I'll have to search it out. These are all short clips so you can watch the lot in under an hour (probably half an hour).

And, I should have added, these probably won't work so well if you know German since the voices aren't dubbed, just the subtitles changed.

For those of you not familiar, some years ago the movie "Downfall" came out, all about the end of WWII and of Hitler in his bunker. One of the scenes plays out as the Russians are marching on Berlin and Hitler finds out that his generals can't make troops magically appear and move around as he thinks. The result is a complete tantrum. Some people have re-subtitled these for comic effect. It was only a matter of time before railroad themes got added into the mix. I'm not saying these are all nice but some (depending on you view of or job in the industry) can be funny. Anyway, I got a chuckle out of them. Don't take them too seriously and you may, too.

Dialog is almost spot on!

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
