What has happened to the NS North Alabama district (Sheffield to Birmingham Line)? I have heard that there are only three trains a day over it now. I used to visit this line a lot during the seventies. My praternal grandmother lived close to the right of way just north of Jasper. I remember when CTC was installed on this line in 1979.Is there some particular reason why the traffic is down?
