Look like standard hoppers - grain,sand etc... I drove tractor trailer working gas wells in Marcellus region and they look like frac sand hoppers. I know that's dropped off so that could be the reason

More were added in June.  I'm not down that way often enough to keep serious track of what goes on, but car storage is car storage, and it's income to the railroad.  There's no business on the line right now north of Boonville, other than the storage cars.

Hopper cars stored north of Boonville NY

Does anyone know anything about the hopper cars being stored north of Boonville NY and Port Leyden. Just curious go by with a truck every night and see they have been there awhile
