Good heartwarming story, but the train takes a back stage setting to the main story line. Do recommend reading it. The book is short and can be read in 1-2 evenings.

The main character starts his trip on the Capital Limited going across country
to LA for Christmas with his girlfriend. Eventually winds up on the Southwest
Chief.

Someone on the OGR Forum turned me on to this book. I found it at a good price online. Nice story, although the train kind of takes a back seat to what is going on on the train.
