Death of Dave Goodheart of Goodheart Video Productions

Sadly,

I learned last night that Dave Goodheart of Goodheart Video Producttions passed away late on Tuesday Nov 9, 2004. Apparently Dave died of a massive heart attack. Dave Goodheart is probably best known for his video productions of steam locomotives, especially the Milwaukee Road #261.

Oddly enough I happened to see Dave Goodheart just 2 days before he died. Dave was the major planner in the Soo Line #1003 Photographers Special that took place on the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad on November 5,6 and 7, 2004. The weather was beautiful and the Soo #1003 ran flawlessly.

I read on another forum that apparently after the last run-by of the Soo #1003 on Sudnay November 7th Dave turned to all there and said "That's a rap". Goodheart Videos are very good productions and he will be missed. Dave is survived by his mother and a sister.

Very sad to hear! Especially just after the whole SOO 1003 event. Will there still be video produced? I hope someone can carry the tradition of great video making under the same name.

Wow.

It's always amazing to hear of the passing of someone well-known, especially right after a major event.

My condolences to his family, friends, and anyone else who knew him.
