I find it particularly ironic that NR is trying to raise the profile of their rail consulting business in North America http://www.railwayage.com/index.php/passenger/commuter-regional/hartman-to-lead-network-rail-consulting-north-america.html after their disaster over the Christmas holiday with Kings Cross and Paddington virtually shut down on Boxing Day. The British Rail press has gone so far as to question if NR's current management has the ability to manage what they have ( see February Modern Railways p.98).
