10th Annual TRAINS.Com Forum Trainfest Photo
Posted by kschmidt on Monday, November 10, 2014 1:47 PM

Well we are calling this the 10th Anniversary of the TRAINS.com Forum Trainfest Gathering Photo.  The 2014 edition of Trainfest claimed several firsts. It was the largest (square footage wise), first time since moving to the exposition center that a second building was added and a new chairman for Trainfest.  Initial reaction is positive.  Clinics returned as part of Trainfest.  Several given by manufacturers and some by modelers on there expertise.  Beginning in 2015 Trainfest is going to begin partnering with the Historical Societies of railroads that ran through or to Milwaukee.  The Chicago and Northwestern Historical Society is the partner for next year. Hopefully this theme will be successful as will the others to follow.

Those in attendance

Back Row Left to Right - Brian Schmidt (Associate Editor TRAINS Magazine), Mike Yanke (wsor3801), Dave Nelson (engine 1385), Keith Schmidt (kschmidt626)

Front Rom Left to Right - Carl Shaver (cshaverr), Mike Yuhas (Advertising Sales Manager TRAINS), Steve Sweeney (Associate Editor TRAINS Magazine), Greg Turinette (Northwoods Flyer).

I guess you could also include several members of the Model Railroader staff as being part of the photo in spirit as Neal, Cody, David and Jim watch over our group. They are with us in spirit.

Great to have several members of the TRAINS staff join us.  Thanks for a great magazine and being a part of TRAINFEST.

Until 2015.  KEEP THOSE RAILS SHINY !!
