However well intentioned, I think posting a 57 minute link here is going to be ineffective. The problems which affect Cleveland and northern Ohio are so many, so complex, and so inter-related as to make discussion here difficult at best.
The economic problems of Cleveland and the Western Reserve will not, in my opinion, be solved by "good transit and intercity rail" but only by much more comprehensive planning and action, to say nothing of politcal leadership and vision.
Someone once said that Poor is a state of mind. If so, Ohioans are poor because they've been told they are for 35+ years, and they seem to believe it. The key to solving the problems faced by the Cleveland area is not simply transit or rail related, but rather political, a much more Hydra-like monster for which there is no one sword.

Can good transit and intercity rail save us?
