My favorite place is on the public street at 1st and J St. You can park at the curb and watch trains going into and out of the yards. They are mostly coal trains heading east, west or south with some freight trains mixed in there too. There are 5 tracks, so the wait isn't usually too long.

I will be visiting Lincoln for the first time this coming spring and would appreciate it if anyone could provide info on any railfanning locations in or around the city.
