and would the Inspector General from USDOT supercede them and would Amtraks Inspector General be entirely indepedent? I could see were FTA and FRA would overlap now the feds are funding more commuter rail projects then ever before.

In Federal agencies, the Inspector General is an independent officer in an agency whose office is responsible for the honesty and fidelity of the employees in that agency.  It is analogous to an internal affairs division in a police department.

Thank You the drop down by agency (FRA,FTA,FAA) is preety cool. I noticed that a NS engineer was senticed to a year in Fed prison for a train wreck in 2008 preety severe if U ask me. Also Rail assistance grants for industrial sidings is too hard to get acording to the FRA Inspector Genral. I would like to sic the Inspector General on my local bus company CDTA on why is cost so much for BRT and what NY state is getting out of CSX on there Buffalo- Albany main line.

I'm not sure that the OP realizes that the Inspector General's office in each agency performs internal investigations only.  I do not believe that they have authority to perform investigations of entities other than their own agency.

Paul, perhaps he is young, and has not had as much exposure to the world as most of us have? He does need instruction in spelling, as well.
