Really enjoyed FIRE, LIES AND SIGNALS by John Mango. In the late 1950's I was a "Depot rat" at a station on the Delaware Division of the Erie. The train numbers and locations were very familiar, as was Dispatcher Murray Stoddard. I had the pleasure of meeting him once. Regarding the picture on Page 57, BQ Tower was constructed of stone, not wood framing as shown at JA.
The beautiful photo on pages 70-71 taken at Mableton, GA is wrongly captioned. Train 172 came off the Alabama Division, Birmingham East district at Austell, GA, some four or so miles west. It is shown on the Georgia Division.
