I have seen this a couple times then I saw this yesterday on 191NS 6650 was pached like a CR. is the paint falling off 6650 are why was it pached its a ex GFS or something like that.

what I ment was dose any one know why 6650 is patched

on one side it's patched dose any one know what color GFS was

That's different. Maybe it's an experiment with the decaling of the engine number. IIRC, GFS was a component of SOU before the merger, like CNO&TP and certain locomotives still use those reporting marks. Funny, I haven't seen any NKP, WAB N&W, LE&W reporting marks on NS locos.
