Early 20th Century Memorabilia

I once visited a local museum and walked up to a sign which stated, Do not flu***oilet while in station. What is some of the strange memorabilia you have come across while visiting railroad museums?

Our club found an old light that belonged to a steam engine on either the N.Y.C or the P.R.R. Can't figure which one though.

That sign was found in nearly every passenger car equipped with a toilet. The toilets dumped directly on the track so little more explanation is needed.

Not in a museum but memorabilla. Yes, good advice while standing in the station. Just reminds all of the difference between then and now.....Speaking of early 20th century stuff....Our high school class traveled from Johnstown, Pa. to Washington DC on our class trip via Pennsylvania RR, and a special meal was prepared for us in the diner, along with special menu's for the occasion. I happened to think I shoud keep one of those menus and I still have it...With PENNSYLVANIA RR across the bottom and our school name listed across the top and the lunch menu displayed...It is about the size of a good sized event card and actually printed in color. The date listed on it is May, 25 1949....Train 72.
