CSX will be getting some new business....some.

The SOO Line, currently CP has access rights to the CSX line between Woodland Jct and Terre Haute, IN. The CP runs four trains daily on our line two coal, which are loaded in the Powder River Basin, and then two mixed freight. One coal and one freight head south, while two head north. CSX crews will be taking over the coal trains beginning January 1, 2005. Our crews will bring the trains south out of Chicago either off the IHB at Blue Island or out of Barr yard in Riverdale. Then, Indiana Railroad crews will take the trains south to their trackage at Sullivan, IN. I personally witnessed some Indiana railroad suits having a meeting with some CSX suits at my terminal last month, and now I know why. YEAH! More business for us equals job security!!! [:D]

YES! More CSX coal shipments are good. . .no . . I should say excellent. I think CSX must be doubling up on their coal shipments. In Philly I've been seeing lots of coal consists on trackage, which is usually designated for high speed intermodel or local freight.

Despite my tremendous respect for NS Management, I'm very glad that CSX is getting some more business and hope their style of management can also equal the best.

That's great for you guys, but I don't live near there so it won't do me any good[:(]

I wish I could see some CSX trains, the only thing I ever see is Union Pacific and BNSF. Time for a change.

Well if you read last months trains you would have seen that ns is going to haul cp trains along their line from chicago to detroit.they want to put a wye at Butler Indiana. I think the big difference is that ns will let cp keep their crews.
stay safe
