Jim left Longs but only went west about fives miles and opened up Trainquest. He still has fairly good prices, but Long went retail, except for a few sales on items that did not move. I also purchased some brass from them about eight years ago, but they stopped stocking brass and went to just selling plastic at full price most of the times.

Longs is my favorite store. How often do you go there?

Been three times in past 18 mos or so and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it, particularly when they have one of the specials --pumpkin patch train, christmas, etc....they also have a swap meet a couple of times a year. And since your in the area, the Longs Drugs with the hobby dept and Trainquest are right there in Moreno.

I have been there several times. First went there in the late 60s; was last there a year ago. A couple of years ago rode the train to High Grove and back (which was a blast in spite of the 10 mph BNSF track).

It has a good variety of equipment, including many "steam road" items as mentioned above. They even have some narrow gauge SP and D&RGW equipment.

Yes![:D]. I have been a member of OERM for over 25 years! We started out as a trolley museum, then later merged with a railroad museum. We now have a large collection of railroad, interurban and trolley equipment. We have no Santa Fe passenger cars, but we do have an operating FP45.This usually runs on Railfest days every spring and fall.Come out any weekend and take a ride[:D]!
