Good morning,

Eight photographers entered this week's contest. Check out their shots and vote for your favorite here: http://trn.trains.com/en/Trackside/2014/09/Rainy%20day%20rail%20photos.aspx

The winner is eligible to be published in Trains magazine!

Went with Tom’s shot, mostly because I can relate to the person and the subject….my official title at the PTRA is Switch Engine Foreman, which really means the poor slob who works and switches cars in the rain!

Like most people who work outdoors, I don’t mind if it rains, as long as it rains after I get off!

The look on the fireman’s face says it all.

What Ed said.  Ditto.  Except for the part about being the stuckee switching in the rain.  Don't see much of that.  California.

Since I have zero fondness for steam, I found this week's selections rather uninspiring.

However, I did like Jordan's CSX shot.

Having been that guy, I also favor Tom's photo...
