Serious photography on his flickr account.
As a train nut and an amateur astronomer....his photos are right up my alley! Love those grain elevator shots too.
Thanks Chris...

edblysard I highly suggest you click on either one of the photos, which will take you to Chris’s Flicker account, and look at the rest of his work. You will enjoy it, trust me.

Now the cat's out of the bag, Ed. (And not our friend in Lincoln, either.)

Chris, the Union Station shots looks like the lobby set for "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and thus seems pretty swanky. Well above the average railroad station, to say the least.
The clouds over the stacker are pretty impressive. Always an adventure to keep clouds from just blocking up the highlights. At least shooting RAW you have half a chance of reining in the image if you know what to do up front, which obviously you do by now. You can really feel the surge of the train in that picture.
Great shots! Thanks for sharing.
It might just be me, but I think I see a face in that cloud.
Those old stations are gorgeous. I love going into Utica Union Station.
As usual, Chris gives us a mark to shoot for.

Two beautiful pictures, again. The Denver station - I could live in that! That is very appealing to me.
And my yard, should look just like your outdoor picture.

Hey Gang,
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Life's been on the crazy side recently. I haven't done a ton of railroad shooting lately (been doing other "fun" things like weddings......), but I do have a couple shots to share.
First up is this shot of the renovated main hall at Denver Union Station. It's a beehive of activity now. There's a hotel, restaurant/bar and shops all around the lobby area, so it's a bustling place. Part of me misses the old classic feel of the train station, but it's good to see that it's lively over there:

And here is a golden hour shot taken out on the Brush Sub by Roggen, CO a few weeks ago:

Fall is starting to show itself in the high country out here, so I'm hoping to get some nice autumnal railroad images soon. I'll also be headed out to Boston for my birthday. My girlfriend has to work one of the days I'm out there, so I'm planning to spend that day checking out South Station (which looks beautiful) and the Mattapan Line (which still uses PCC cars!) along with other railroad-y things that I can find. So look for that in a few weeks.
As always, C&C more than welcome!
