      After looking at Google Earth and looking at at the links in this thread, my best guess is that the CN train collided with a WSOR train that was occupying the junction.  I figure the locomotive in the ditch is the lead loco and the other two passed it when the lead derailed. 

      At what speed was the CN train traveling?  Are the switches involved manually thrown or are they controlled by CN's dispatcher?

A friend who was watching ATCS claims CN was lined south at the switch, which would suggest to me that the T3 was originally in the clear.  As best as I can figure from looking at pictures, somehow the WSOR T3's tail got in front of CN A444 and they couldn't stop.  Track speed on that stretch of railroad (depending on signals) is authorized up to 50 MPH.  If they were slowing down to go in at Ackerville (1.7 miles south of Slinger) then they would likely have been somewhere around 30-40 MPH.

Environmental clean up continues and I think the CN 2192 might be rerailed on new trucks this weekend.  At least that's the rumors I'm hearing.
