Pictures of Galva Illinois

Somewhere in my memory is the recollection that our genial host Bergie is from Galva Illinois or lived near there for a time. If not Bergie than some other regular on this forum is Galvanized.
Check out June 1995 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman -- and I happen to know Kalmbach has RMC in their David P Morgan Library, Bergie -- page 48 for four great old b&w shots by John Swanson of Galva in 1958. A Burlington SD 7 on the local has dropped off three wood stock cars and continued on with its three gondolas and a waycar -- classic bucolic rural CB&Q imagines, and looking for all the world like a model railroad. Some local buildings are visible in the backgrounds.
