Green;  What is more green than a Green Mountain locomotive in the Green Mountain State.  Cully did a nice job with the pic and, yes, its a natural for my pick as an aficionado of  hills of Nathan Hale.  The pic is one of several with green locomotives but the only one with green alone instead of lashed up.  

 

RIDEWITHMEHENRY is the name for our almost monthly day of riding trains and transit in either the NYCity or Philadelphia areas including all commuter lines, Amtrak, subways, light rail and trolleys, bus and ferries when warranted. No fees, just let us know you want to join the ride and pay your fares. Ask to be on our email list or find us on FB as RIDEWITHMEHENRY (all caps) to get descriptions of each outing.

Good morning,

Congratulations to Brandon Townley, the winner of Vol. 230 "It's all in the details." His photo of the Norfolk Southern office car special will be featured in an upcoming issue of Trains magazine.

The theme for Vol. 231 will be "Green." 

Please have your photo sent to trackside@trains.com no later than 4 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 27, 2014.

The voting will begin on Monday, March 31, 2014.
