5 cents a can in ME,MA,NY,RI,VT,CA.
10cents in Michigan
Maine accepts snapples and other drink bottles.
Its about 20.00 a Large garbage bag, Fill up a large box car with 200 bags and you have 4,000.00 Railroad will charge anywhere from 500-1200.00 to move cargo in the northeast and you might break even. Better to rent a Uhaul at 20.00 a day. Make sure can and bottles are marked.
Call all your neighbors and say that you are raising money for *** cancer or Aids research...

Try crushing the cans first, before bagging them.....

OK, I have a few sacks of cans in my back yard, come get them (not you Ed). Just hop whatever vehicle you need to and don't forget somewhere to interchange to UP. You can do that at either Memphis or St. Louis as I am sure both NS and CSX would interchange with them there. When you get to NLR get off at the Locust Streey Tower, climb the stars and go inside. Just tell the nice folks inside what you did and why you came. I am sure they will be happy to give you a ride.

Clean the dirt clods & cigarette butts out too. That way you'll get the full deposit rate, rather than the scrap-metal rate.

Late originations from WUT are on MARC, line of road delay is on CSX.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Well, it jsut so happens I can do some math- or try to- let's fix a rate- so let's see-

One can, like the one i'm holding right now, 355ML- not sure the OZ size, but i'm talking standard can- not those midget things, or the BOSS beer cans- the regular jimmy's.

1 = 5 cents.
20= A buck.. deal...

Ok so lets factor in fuel, and ware and deterioration, five minutes wrth of fuel, that adds upo to- even number 5 bucks.. a buck a minute... 100 cans...

Crew pay: now your screwed right here. Overtime pay, time and a half what i usually make- 80 (40 X 2) bucks my friend (Conductor, Breakman)... Plus engineers pay- 60 - HOLY! 1600, (BM, CDTR) + 100 (Gas) + 2000 (Egnr)

3,700 Cans...

Now I would have charged you extra luggege space, 20 bucks (400 cans)

4,100 Cans ST
700 Cans TX
_________

4, 800 Cans...

Cough it up!

start scrubbing, might i suggest squee-gee (SP) man as another hobby

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

You should invest in a shopping cart (call it a high side gondola)

Making transfer at Union Station. How much did that cost CSX in delayed trains?(Factor in crew time and fuel too..)
