If you ever get to Hamlet, NC you will not be disappointed, but its not in your 2 to 3 hour window.

I was wondering if there were other high traffic lines other than the Folkston Funnel on the CSX at Folkston Ga. I'm stationed in Jacksonville Florida and would like to know more areas than just Folkston. Any places where you can pace a train or see high speed freight preferably in rural areas so they are running at speed. I've discovered the Waycross area but most trains there are at yard speed. Then there's the FEC line along US 1 between Jax and St Augustine. But if there are other places within a 2 or 3 hour drive please let me know and you might see my little ford ranger sitting trackside someday. Thanks...
