If you are a member of the National Model Railroad Assoc., their library can find pretty much anything. They have done 2 searches for me, finding articles on the "Beer Line" that served all the breweries in Milwaukee up through the 60s and on the "Bone Valley" mining area in Florida. their charge for members is nominal (both searches were under $1--just covers copying costs). I understand that they also do research for non-members but the charges are fairly steep.

At this point in time, no, there are no archives listed on the Web site. However, if you're ever in need to find back articles, just drop us a line.

Paulette:
Well, it's not simple, but what is?
I'm a geologist as well as a railfan and was searching on Google for "Gramps oil field." One of the hits was an article in the May 1998 Trains, apparently on the Cumbres & Toltec (most of the oil from the Price-Gramps field was hauled from near Chama, NM, to Alamosa, CO, on the D&RGW narrow gauge). The link gave me the new site, but with a "page not found" message. So I was curious if there is a new link to archives that I'm not seeing.

Regarding the article, I have it here and it shouldn't be too hard to find (famous last words), my real question is the archives.

Thanks,
Bruce

Are there archives for Trains Mag articles? Found a reference to one in a search engine, but the link doesn't work and I can't seem to find it here...

TIA,
lowwater
