And thanks to the editors at Trains, for having the nerve to run the story...after all, it did point out how stupid some of this stuff has gotten....

About a year ago I saw Don being interviewed and taking phone calls on CSPAN. A very different guy from what I expected after 20 years of reading Trains.

Mr. Phillips has such a nice way with words: he does not waste nor want. He is articulate and to the point. He writes with clarity, and makes sense. No wonder he lost favor with the Washington, D.C. crowd. He tells it like it is.

I, for one, am very glad he will continue writing for Trains.

For those of you that have Trains Magazine now for November - read Don Phillips column. I love it! He has so nicely put into print a lot of my thoughts on security.
