Questions to help me model the Maine Eastern
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, October 4, 2004 6:11 PM
Hi, I'm modelling the Maine Eastern F40PHs #265 & #291, and I was wondering what the Green and Orange colors in the paint sceme are? Would they be Harvest Gold and Pine Green, by any strange coincidence[;)]? Also what is the print type and the height of the "Maine Eastern" lettering, since I'm having a VERY difficult time finding letter decals to match[:(!]. Any help is [:D]GREATLY [:D]appreciated! Thanks in advance[bow]!!!

Is it impossible to get close to these engines ? I think that if you approach the RR sensibly they may help you more than anyone on the forum. I am a newcomer to the state of Maine and am not familier with the RRs operating in the state, but I know how small RRs operate throughout the country and I would take this approach.
Look for another locomotive paint sceme in Maine very soon.

Randy,
It's not impossible to get close to them, it's a matter of being in the right place at the right time, which I haven't been able to do. I did, however, just sent an e-mail to the Pres. of the M&E RR to ask if he could find out these answers for me!!
[:0]What do you mean ANOTHER loco paint scheme??[:0]
Does this mean I'll [:D]have [:D]an [:D]excuse to go [:D]buy [:D][:p]MORE[:p][:D] locos[dinner]?????? [dinner]YESSSSSSS[dinner]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![bow][bow][dinner]
Keep me posted if you know something that I don't(which, apparently, You DO[;)]!!)' Thanks, Rob
