Here's a nice, long Sunday read in the New York Times about the resurrection of the fabled Silk Road as a rail route. It follows a train of containers of HP computers being shipped from China to Europe, mostly on the Trans-Siberian. As an aside, with its expedited service and multitude of heavily armed guards, it reminded me of a story that I saw years ago about GN's silk trains, which ran in the early 20th century.
