First off, congratulations to David Styffe for winning last week's competition!
This time we are seeking photo submissions for Trackside with Trains Vol. 214. The theme will be "fallen flag freight cars."
This challenge is a unique one, and something a bit different for this contest. Your shot should feature a freight car(s) adorned with the logo of a fallen flag railroad. Locomotives are welcome but the emphasis should be on the rolling stock. Try to incorporate a creative photographic composition, as opposed to a straight-on roster shot of a freight car, and be sure to share the significance of the featured logo(s) in your caption.
Please send submissions to trackside@trains.com no later than 4 p.m. CST on Thursday, July 11, 2013.
