I am amazed by the bridge shot.  It's really dramatic  You have great creativity to "see" that shot and get it!  Thanks for sharing!

A lot of good luck in that shot for Chris.  Seeing the potential and composing in his mind's eye, that's just part of the recipe, though it's a big part.  Then having the good luck to have a "showroom fresh" engine on point and a dramatic cloud formation in the background with the correct tonal values relative to the engine.  Those are sweet moments to a photographer.  (Trust me, they don't happen nearly so often as we would like.)

I'm just glad that Chris shares with us as often as he does.  (And he is having fun with that new wide angle lens, for sure.)

May I say that your bad days are so superior to my lucky days with the use of a camera. Nice shots and thanks for sharing!

Chris, a nice treat in my morning.

The bridge shot grabbed me immediately, but I love dramatic perspective and skillful use of wide-angle lenses.

The first shot didn't grab until I clicked through to the Flikr link, which was a little bigger and opened up the shadows.  Nice that one (and it would appear only one) light is on in the house on the hill, plus the interesting tree line on the mesa.  Lots of tiny little stories in that shot.

Hey Gang,

Life has been crazy busy of late with some wedding shoots and other such stuff. I did manage to get down to "the middle of nowhere" last weekend with a friend for some railfanning on the Twin Peaks Sub east of Trinidad, CO. Lack of sleep left me without my A game and I'm not happy with mostof the photos I took. I did really like these two, though:

As always, comments, critiques, concerns, questions, etc. more than welcome! Thanks for looking!
